We Love

The Connection Team

We love and care for our church community. Our Connections Team oversees and coordinates the nurture and wellbeing of the congregation, individually and collectively. This includes promoting a sense of wholeness and inclusion for all our members and visitors.

Each Sunday the Connections Team helps nurture the wellbeing of those attending by:

  • Providing Greeters every Sunday morning to welcome each person who comes in to the church and assist visitors.

  • Hosting the Coffee Hour after worship to give people the place and time to visit and deepen their relationships with each other.

Another of the many things the Connections Team does is coordinate fellowship opportunities for the congregation such as:

  • Third Wednesday Fellowship (TWF) Covered Dish Supper is a monthly dinner (mostly) where participants bring food and drink to share while enjoying each other’s company. There is usually a program following the meal. The event starts at 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Check the calendar here for details.

  • Vintage Bunch promotes the health and well-being of mind, body, spirit, and relationships of older church members who are getting better with age. The group meets monthly at 11 am - 1 pm in the Fellowship Hall. There is usually a program and lunch. Check the calendar here for details.

  • Sippin’ Sisters is a women’s fellowship group that enjoys a monthly time together over coffee or tea. The group meets on the second Thursday at 9:30 am at Panera on Lawndale.

  • Annual social events for the whole church such as the Friendship Picnic in September.

The Connections Team also cares for the church community by:

  • Providing support to homebound members through monthly calls, cards, and periodic visits.

  • Organizing receptions for baby dedications, funerals, and other special occasions.

Nurturing the wellbeing of our church community is fun.  We’d love to have you join us!
