At our October 1 Ministry Celebration Lunch, the Long-Range Planning Team presented its vision for the future of First Christian Church. Because we are a strong and healthy congregation, this vision builds on the strengths of the ministry we already do.
Our financial gifts have made our story possible this year, and our increased pledges for 2018 will help us live into the vision ahead of us. Learn more about the vision here or read our narrative budget.
Imagine the possibilities if each of us increased our giving just a bit. Imagine the possibilities if those of us who have never pledged filled out a pledge card this year. Imagine the possibilities if we reach a little deeper and stretch a little higher. Imagine what God will have us do.
Returning your pledge card with a commitment for 2018 will help our stewardship committee build an accurate budget for next year.
About Online Giving
- Online giving is a safe and easy way to support the ministries of First Christian Church.
- First Christian Church uses EasyTithe, a secure system that enables you to support the church by making a one-time contribution or establishing a recurring contribution. EasyTithe is used by churches throughout the country.
- EasyTithe will allow you to view and print the complete history of your contributions that have been given online.
- The church will continue to provide you with giving statements for tax purposes.
One simple way to give electronically is to set up a recurring payment from your bank’s bill pay system. This method saves you and the church money by avoiding transaction fees. (Check with your bank or call the church office for help setting that up.)
Follow these step-by-step instructions for online giving.
An Act of Worship
Our financial gifts are much more than another bill to pay. Giving a gift to the church is an act of worship, a way of giving thanks to God, from whom all blessings flow. During our time of offering each week, use the giving card found in the pews to participate in this particular act of worship. Place it in the offering plate as a symbol of a gift you’ve made and as an act of gratitude to our God.
