The support from members of the congregation in
leading worship has blessed us
beyond anything we might have
expected the past few weeks. Olivia
Steadman, for instance, delivered last
Sunday’s message with a freshness
and passion that brought us to the
edge of our seats with excitement.
This coming Sunday, Woody
Faulkner, assisted by Elder Sam Tucker, will present a service in
song. You won’t want to miss out. If you want to attend the
outdoor service in person, be sure to sign up early to reserve
your place. Otherwise, don’t miss tuning in online.
As for me, I am going to a speech therapist twice a week and
doing assigned voice exercises twice a day to rehabilitate my
vocal cords. I hope to recover what seems lost so that once
again I might sing and preach and pray aloud without hurting
anyone’s ears. Thank you for your patience with all of this and for
your enthusiastic response to what we’re doing with worship
during these final weeks of my term as your transitional pastor.
