The practice of communion has become the central element of worship within the Disciples tradition, and all over the world Christians gather weekly at the table to break bread together.
During the month of November, we will explore the important elements of the Lord’s Supper together through song, scripture, and word.
These themes will guide our worship: Remembrance by Breaking Bread, Reconciliation through Eating, God’s Abundance, and Radical Communion.
November Small Group
Sunday mornings at 9 a.m.
Our November small group study will dive into each week’s worship theme to better understand theologically and scripturally why the table is important for Christians—specifically for us Disciples! With the help of different forms of literature and perspectives from various religious leaders, we will think and talk about how the table creates the basis of an ethical Christian life. These small group studies will take place in the Friendship classroom on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. We hope to see you there!
