Jody Henley – Director of Choirs

Jody H. Henley is a North Carolina native, and has spent most of her life in our community. She received both her Master of Music and her Bachelor of Music degrees from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and is a National Board Licensed Teacher. Jody has taught choral music at grades K-12 and undergraduate courses at UNCG School of Music after earning all three levels of Orff Certification.

With 25 years as a music educator for Guilford County Schools, her choirs have been invited to perform at many prestigious venues, including the White House, the Governor’s Executive Mansion, Biltmore House, and St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City. Her choirs consistently receive Superior ratings at State Contest, earning over 50 Superiors in 15 years while serving as Chapter President for Alpha Delta Kappa, District President and Contest Adjudicator for the North Carolina Music Educators Association.

She has been married to Dan Henley for 25 years, and is the proud mother of two talented musicians, Megan and Weston. Her hobbies are colonial history, needlework, grant-writing, cooking, and her family’s two rescued Golden Retrievers, Lady and Lucy.
