The heavy rains that ravaged much of Greensboro last night took their toll on our church as well. Water came in through our window wells and flooded our choir room, one office, and a storage room. Thankfully, it was a Wednesday night, and the choir arrived for rehearsal just in time to help contain the water until professional help could arrive.
We’re drying out now, and the worst seems to be over. All things considered, there is very little damage; the carpet may even be able to be salvaged. I’m grateful for the hard work of our property committee chair in overseeing the clean up, and for all the hands who worked together last night.
Our prayers are with those for whom the storm took a more serious toll.
