The Young Adult Group, With a Purpose, will be sponsoring a Spring Craft Fair and Bazaar on Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 9am-3pm. The cost to rent a vendor space is $20 for a 10ft x 10ft space. Tables and chairs will be available for an extra $10. The money raised from selling vendor spaces will go to the Southwest North Carolina Food Bank. Vendors can sell handmade items, craft supplies, antique items, or new items from their company (i.e. Mary Kay/Tupperware). No yard sale items, please.

If you or someone you know would like to be a vendor please contact the office (336-273-4725 or info@fccgreensboro.org) for a vendor application. If you are unable to be a vendor, we would love for you to be a shopper! Thank you for your support.

lah_4248-850x1280Good things are happening at FCC! The Worship Team has met and reviewed all of the input regarding our ongoing worship schedule. Thank you all for the tremendous response we received to the survey. Based on your feedback, the worship team will form a Transformation Team to plan for our new and exciting 10:00 am service, year-round!

The first day of our new worship schedule will be Sunday, June 3. On May 27, Pentecost Sunday, we will mark the ending of the 8:30 and 11:00 schedule as we give thanks for the work of the Holy Spirit in our midst.

Through the summer, Sunday school classes will meet at 9:00am, with worship at 10:00 followed by a brief fellowship time. Also through the summer, the Transformation Team will be working to iron out the details of our new schedule. They will work on such things as the order of service, Sunday School schedule, fellowship time, deacon, elder and communion scheduling, and more.

If you feel called to help plan how our new service will look, WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE YOU! Please talk with Brenda Huth, Emily Viverette or Pastor Lee if you are interested. The team will begin meeting after May 15.

Emily Viverette and Michael Wildman will be leading a lectionary-based Bible studyimg_1546 through May 27 during the Sunday School hour. During these sessions, they will introduce a resource called BibleWorkbench. The key focus of the resource is assisting people to “see biblically”, that is, recognizing the dynamics of the Bible story at work in the world around us and deep in our own souls. Each week BibleWorkbench asks: What is happening in this story? Where is this story taking place in our world? How is this MY story?

All are welcome! The class will meet in the Friendship Classroom.

Like to get your hands dirty? Join us in our community garden (located at 4321 S. Elm-Eugene Street) on Saturday mornings at 9:00 am. The garden is part of our outreach ministry, and much of the produce is donated to the Greensboro Servant Center. There is always plenty to do; many hands will make light work for all.

April 5, 6:00pm

Our Maundy Thursday observance helps us remember Jesus’ last supper with his disciples.

This year, we’re trying something new:
We’ll begin in the Fellowship Hall at 6:00pm, with special music, singing, and scripture. We’ll share a light supper and celebrate communion together, then make our way to the sanctuary for a closing piece presented by the Chancel Choir.
