On Sunday, we dedicated 25 worship stoles made by members of our congregation.  The stoles will be worn by worship leaders at our biannual General Assembly later this summer in Indianapolis. Thousands of Disciples will work, learn, fellowship, and worship together. How amazing to be part of the wider ministries of our church!

Here are the stoles, displayed in our sanctuary Sunday:

This is the blessing we offered over the stoles:

Bless these stoles, O God.
Bless the hands that created them, that they may be a part of the wider ministries of this congregation.
Bless those that wear them, that they may lead your people in life-giving worship.
Bless those that gather in Indianapolis, that they may be inspired anew to do your work in the world.
Make our hands your hands, O God, to reach out and touch a broken and hurting world with a vision of your hope and your peace.
We ask your blessing here in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
