Thandiwe (pronounced: “tun-dee-way”) grew up in South Africa and Zimbabwe where her parents were missionaries, and Thandiwe herself worked in South India as a Global Ministries Mission Intern. Currently in the process of getting her M.Div. from the Divinity School at the University of Chicago where she is a Disciples Divinity House Scholar, Thandiwe will be interning at First Christian Church through May 15, 2012. She is excited to be discerning her own call to ministry, and is eager to explore ways of serving the communities beyond our church walls to do ministry both locally and globally.
Since she loves spending time outdoors, Thandiwe is very excited to be in North Carolina, a truly beautiful state. Among Thandiwe’s other interests are cooking, reading and keeping up with friends near and far. She has been blessed, each place she has lived, by people’s generosity and warmth. Truly, God’s love is revealed through the love that we show one another.
